McKinsey and Company
McKinsey & Company is hiring Business Analysts from undergraduate programs. You will join client engagement teams tackling the most complex strategic and operational challenges facing global corporations, governments, and institutions — with direct responsibility for analytical workstreams from your first project.
McKinsey Business Analysts work directly on client teams as full contributors from their first week. You will own specific analytical workstreams — typically data gathering, financial modeling, or market analysis — while learning from Engagement Managers and Partners who have decades of advisory experience. The role serves as a 2-year pre-MBA track, after which most BAs pursue top MBA programs with McKinsey's support.
McKinsey seeks exceptional recent graduates from all academic backgrounds who demonstrate rigorous analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and leadership potential. This is the most selective entry-level business analyst role in consulting — if you are comfortable with ambiguity, driven by intellectual challenge, and want to build the strongest consulting foundation available, the BA role at McKinsey is unmatched.
McKinsey & Company is the world's most prestigious management consulting firm, advising CEOs, governments, and institutions on their most consequential strategic decisions. Business Analysts who complete the 2-year program typically enroll in top-10 MBA programs, with McKinsey providing both sponsorship and strong alumni networks.
Apply through McKinsey Careers linked above. Applications open July 1, 2026. The selection process includes a Problem Solving Game (PSG), a personal experience interview (PEI), and multiple case interviews. Thorough case preparation is essential — McKinsey's case process is among the most rigorous in any industry.
