Role Context

Summer Analysts are embedded within Bank of America's quantitative analytics or risk management teams and work on real business problems throughout the internship. You will have access to structured training, mentorship from full-time analysts, and the opportunity to present your analytical findings to senior leaders at the end of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply quantitative analytics to support Consumer & Small Business strategy and risk management
  • Build models and run statistical analyses using Python, SQL, R, and/or MATLAB
  • Develop data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Hadoop-based platforms
  • Collaborate with business partners to design data-driven solutions for customer-facing decisions
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to managers and stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvement projects within the Retail Banking analytics function

Requirements & Skills

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's with graduation between Nov 2026 and Aug 2027
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, SQL, R, C++, and/or MATLAB
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Hadoop, and/or Power BI
  • Strong mathematical and statistical foundation with quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Interest in financial services, banking, and consumer analytics
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
