WarehouseLink Canada is looking for an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our Ottawa fulfilment centre operations team. This is a full-time onsite senior position for a proven warehouse leader who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and can deliver consistent operational performance across a large associate team. At WarehouseLink Canada, our Ottawa Shift Managers are the operational engine of our fulfilment centre, responsible for safety, productivity, people development, and daily customer order fulfilment quality across their assigned shift.
As Warehouse Shift Manager in Ottawa, you will manage a team of 25 to 60 warehouse associates and process assistants across all fulfilment functions, driving real-time performance against daily targets and building a team culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout every shift at our Ottawa facility.
What Your First 90 Days Look Like:
You'll complete WarehouseLink Canada's shift manager onboarding program covering our Ottawa operations systems, KPI management tools, safety compliance requirements, coaching frameworks, and leadership expectations. By month three you'll be fully owning your shift performance and contributing to Ottawa site-wide improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct a shift team of 25 to 60 associates across receiving, stowing, picking, packing, and shipping functions at our Ottawa facility
- Monitor shift productivity, accuracy, and safety performance in real time and adjust labour and workflow to achieve daily operational targets
- Conduct pre-shift briefings, mid-shift walkthroughs, and end-of-shift handover reports with accurate performance data for incoming management
- Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and formal reviews to associates and process assistants on your Ottawa shift
- Enforce all WarehouseLink Canada safety policies including PPE standards, ergonomic requirements, and hazard reporting without exception
- Manage shift attendance, timekeeping, and performance documentation using WarehouseLink Canada's workforce management systems
- Lead Ottawa site improvement projects targeting throughput, error reduction, safety enhancement, and team engagement on your shift
Requirements:
- Three or more years of warehouse operations management experience including at least one year leading teams of 20 or more associates
- Demonstrated track record of achieving warehouse productivity, accuracy, and safety KPIs in a fulfilment or distribution environment
- Strong people leadership, real-time problem-solving, and clear communication skills appropriate for large warehouse team management
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and workforce management tools for shift reporting and tracking
- Available for rotating shift schedules including days, evenings, nights, and weekends at our Ottawa Ontario facility
