SwiftShip Canada is hiring Sortation Centre Associates for our Calgary, Alberta parcel sortation facility. This is a full-time onsite position requiring no experience, ideal for Calgary candidates looking for physical, well-paying warehouse work on evening or overnight shifts. Our Calgary sortation centre processes thousands of parcels nightly, sorting them by delivery zone so that customers across Calgary and Southern Alberta receive their orders on time the following day.

As a Sortation Centre Associate at our Calgary facility, you will induct, scan, and sort inbound parcels using our automated sortation system, stage sorted packages in route lanes, and assist with loading delivery vehicles before morning departure windows each night.

What Your First Week Looks Like:

You'll complete SwiftShip Canada's paid sortation orientation covering induct scanning techniques, chute sortation monitoring, exception handling, load quality standards, and Calgary facility safety protocols. By your second shift you'll be independently processing parcels on the live sortation floor.

Responsibilities:

• Induct inbound parcels by scanning barcodes and placing packages on the sortation conveyor induction belt
• Monitor sortation chutes and conveyor lines for jams, misroutes, and damaged parcels requiring manual intervention
• Stage sorted packages in designated Calgary delivery route lanes before morning driver departure windows
• Process exception parcels including unreadable labels, damaged packages, and oversized items manually
• Assist with end-of-sort cleanup, chute clearing, and staging area organization at shift end each night
• Meet daily induct rate and sortation accuracy targets set by SwiftShip Canada Calgary management
• Follow all Calgary facility safety rules including conveyor safety, PPE, and housekeeping standards

Requirements:

• No sortation or warehouse experience required — full paid training from day one at our Calgary facility
• Must be 18 years of age or older and eligible to work in Canada
• Able to lift parcels up to 49 lbs and remain physically active on the sortation floor throughout each shift
• Able to work at a sustained pace while maintaining parcel scan accuracy and sort quality standards
• Availability for evening and overnight sort shift schedules at our Calgary Alberta facility is required
