About This Role
Progressive Consultancy is hiring Female Data Typists for a permanent work-from-home position open to freshers with basic typing and computer skills. You will enter, format, and organise data from provided source documents into spreadsheets and company systems, working from home with fixed daily targets and flexible shift timings. This is an ideal first job for women who are looking to enter the workforce from home with no prior experience required.
Key Responsibilities
- Type data accurately from scanned documents, PDF files, audio recordings, or handwritten forms into MS Excel, MS Word, or client-specified formats
- Proofread typed content to ensure it matches the source document exactly before submitting each batch
- Format documents including alignment, font standardisation, table creation, and layout adjustments as per client templates
- Transcribe handwritten notes, form data, and survey responses into clean, structured digital records
- Meet daily typing targets (minimum 2,000–3,000 words or equivalent records per day)
- Maintain file organisation and submit completed work to the supervisor via email or shared drive at the end of each shift
- Handle all client data with strict confidentiality and follow data security guidelines at all times
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10th or 12th pass — freshers with no work experience are welcome to apply
- Typing speed of at least 25–30 WPM in English with good accuracy
- Basic MS Word and MS Excel skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to focus on repetitive typing tasks for extended periods
- A working laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection at home
- Punctual, reliable, and self-disciplined for independent home-based work
