About This Role
Progressive Consultancy is looking for Female Verification Specialists to join our background verification and document processing team on a permanent work-from-home basis. In this role, you will verify candidate and employee documents, conduct reference checks, and coordinate with clients to ensure accurate and timely background screening for hiring decisions. This is a detail-oriented role suited for organised women who can work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify educational certificates, employment history documents, ID proofs, and address documents submitted by candidates during the hiring process
- Conduct telephonic reference checks with previous employers and educational institutions to confirm candidate details
- Cross-check information submitted by candidates against original documents for accuracy and authenticity
- Flag discrepancies, forged documents, or inconsistencies to the team lead with supporting evidence
- Update verification status in the background check portal and deliver completed reports within defined TAT
- Communicate with candidates professionally to request missing documents or clarification on submitted information
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all candidate and client data handled during the verification process
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Any graduate degree; a background in HR, administration, or operations is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in documents and candidate information
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi for telephonic reference checks
- Proficiency in MS Excel and email for maintaining trackers and client communication
- Trustworthy, discreet, and professional in handling sensitive candidate and employer information
- A laptop and reliable internet connection are mandatory for this role

- Monthly salary of ₹15,000–₹22,000 based on experience and output
