About This Role
PeopleFirst India is looking for an experienced Administrative Officer to oversee office administration, compliance coordination, and operational support at our Nagercoil branch. This is a mid-level administrative role for candidates with prior office management experience who can independently manage day-to-day office functions, vendor relationships, and staff support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day administrative functions of the Nagercoil office including facilities, housekeeping, security, and vendor management
- Manage office budgets for utilities, supplies, and maintenance; track expenditures against approved budgets and prepare monthly reports
- Handle statutory compliance documentation including shop and establishment license renewals, labour law filings, and government correspondence
- Coordinate with HR on employee onboarding, ID card issuance, seating allocation, and exit formalities
- Arrange travel bookings, accommodation, and logistics for visiting managers and external guests
- Supervise support staff including peons, housekeeping, and security personnel on daily duties
- Prepare management reports, meeting minutes, and internal communications as required by leadership
- Handle insurance renewals, asset maintenance schedules, and fixed asset register for the Nagercoil office
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or any related field
- 2–4 years of experience in office administration or facilities management
- Strong organisational, vendor management, and multi-tasking skills
- Fluency in Tamil and working knowledge of English for official correspondence
- Proficiency in MS Office, email communication, and basic accounting tools
- Knowledge of Tamil Nadu labour laws and statutory compliance requirements is preferred

- Monthly salary of ₹20,000–₹32,000 based on experience
