About This Role
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the role of Ticketing Executive at stations across the Delhi Metro network. Ticketing Executives handle passenger ticketing transactions, travel card issuance, station operations support, and passenger assistance. This is a stable, government-linked employment opportunity with structured pay scales and career progression for eligible freshers and graduates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ticket vending machine (TVM) operations and assist passengers with token purchases, travel card recharges, and fare enquiries
- Issue, activate, and manage stored-value Metro cards and monthly pass applications at the ticketing counter
- Handle cash and cashless transactions at the ticketing window and maintain accurate shift records and cash tallies
- Assist passengers with route information, interchange guidance, and accessibility support
- Coordinate with station control staff and security personnel during peak hours, emergency situations, and planned service events
- Report technical faults in ticketing equipment and escalate to the maintenance team promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the ticketing area and waiting zones
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 12th pass (any stream) from a recognised board; a graduate degree is preferred
- Minimum age: 18 years; upper age limit as per DMRC recruitment notification
- Good communication skills in Hindi and basic English for assisting Delhi Metro's diverse passenger base
- Basic numeracy and computer skills for handling digital ticketing systems
- Pleasant, patient, and helpful attitude toward public service
- Physical fitness as per DMRC medical standards
