About This Role
HostServe India is recruiting Evening Waiters and Stewards for restaurants, banquet halls, and café chains across Chennai. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, have good guest service skills, and prefer evening working hours, this is an excellent entry-level opportunity in the food and beverage service sector with competitive pay and tips.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests courteously, present menus, and guide them through food and beverage offerings
- Take accurate food and drink orders, relay them to the kitchen and bar, and ensure timely service to each table
- Deliver food and beverages to guests, check on satisfaction periodically, and attend to any additional requests promptly
- Prepare tables before service with clean linen, cutlery, glassware, and condiments according to restaurant standards
- Clear tables efficiently after guests depart and reset them promptly for the next cover
- Process bills, handle cash and card payments accurately, and issue proper receipts
- Assist with banquet or event setups and service as assigned by the floor manager
- Maintain personal hygiene, uniform standards, and professional guest interaction throughout the shift
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10th or 12th pass; a hotel management diploma or degree is an added advantage
- Pleasant personality, good communication skills in Tamil and basic English
- Ability to stay on your feet throughout a 4–5 hour evening shift in a busy restaurant
- Prior waiter, steward, or food service experience preferred; freshers with hospitality training will be considered
- Smart appearance, punctuality, and genuine passion for guest service
What We Offer
- Evening shift salary of ₹8,000–₹13,000 per month plus service charge and tips
