About This Role
HealthFirst India is looking for a polished and professional Part Time Evening Receptionist to manage front desk operations at our Chennai clinic during the evening outpatient hours. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming, organised, and efficient reception experience for everyone who walks through our doors after 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients, visitors, and accompanying family members warmly and direct them to appropriate departments or waiting areas
- Register new patients, update existing patient records, and manage appointment bookings in the clinic management system
- Handle telephone inquiries about consultation timings, doctor availability, and appointment scheduling
- Coordinate with evening duty doctors, nurses, and support staff for smooth patient flow management
- Collect and process consultation fees, issue receipts, and maintain accurate billing records for the evening shift
- Maintain the reception area's tidiness, stationery supplies, and display materials throughout the shift
- Hand over pending tasks, messages, and open cases to the next shift or duty manager before signing off
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 12th pass or any graduate degree; healthcare administration background preferred
- Presentable appearance with strong interpersonal and communication skills in Tamil and English
- Basic computer skills including MS Office, email, and experience with hospital management software
- Calm, professional demeanour when managing multiple simultaneous patient queries
- Prior receptionist, front desk, or clinic assistant experience is preferred
What We Offer
- Part-time salary of ₹9,000–₹14,000 per month for the evening shift
- Fixed timing: 5 PM – 9 PM, Monday to Saturday
