About This Role
DataPoint India is seeking Evening Part Time Data Entry Operators for our Chennai operations centre. This role is perfectly suited for students, homemakers, or professionals who want to supplement their income with structured, office-based evening work. You will handle data entry, document digitisation, and basic back-office tasks during a fixed evening shift with no weekend requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter data from source documents — forms, invoices, delivery challans, and client spreadsheets — into company databases accurately
- Verify and cross-check entered records against original documents before batch submission
- Organise digital files and maintain folder structures for easy retrieval by the morning shift team
- Handle data cleansing tasks such as removing duplicates, correcting formatting errors, and standardising entries
- Prepare end-of-shift productivity reports and submit to the team supervisor before logging off
- Adhere to data confidentiality protocols and company-wide security access policies
- Escalate unclear documents or high-priority data discrepancies to the supervisor promptly
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10th or 12th pass minimum; any graduate degree is an advantage
- Typing speed of 30+ WPM; bilingual typing (English + Tamil) is a bonus
- Basic MS Excel and MS Word skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to concentrate over long data entry sessions
- Punctual, reliable, and committed to the evening shift schedule
