About This Role
DataPoint India is hiring accurate and detail-oriented Data Entry Operators to join our operations team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for entering, verifying, and maintaining large volumes of data across multiple systems and databases, ensuring information is always up to date, correctly formatted, and error-free. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers looking to start their career in data operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter data from physical documents, digital files, and other sources into company databases and ERP systems accurately and efficiently
- Verify data entries for accuracy, completeness, and consistency against original source documents
- Identify and correct data discrepancies, duplicates, and formatting errors in existing records
- Organise, sort, and file physical and digital documents according to established data management protocols
- Maintain daily data entry logs and productivity reports for team supervisors
- Handle confidential client and business data with strict adherence to company privacy policies
- Collaborate with team members and department heads to prioritise and complete high-volume data tasks within deadlines
- Support data audit processes and assist with generating standard reports as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum HSC (12th standard) or Bachelor's degree in any stream
- Typing speed of at least 35–40 WPM with high accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and basic data management software
- Good attention to detail and ability to sustain focus over long data entry tasks
- Basic English literacy for reading and entering data from English-language documents
- Prior data entry or back-office experience is an advantage
