About This Role

TallyDesk India is hiring detail-oriented and experienced Tally Operators for full-time remote positions across India. In this work-from-home role, you will manage day-to-day accounting entries, GST filings, payroll processing, and financial reconciliations for a portfolio of small and medium business clients using Tally ERP 9 and TallyPrime. Role Context

TallyDesk India provides outsourced accounting and bookkeeping services to SMEs across retail, manufacturing, trading, and service sectors. Each Tally Operator is assigned a dedicated set of client accounts and is responsible for maintaining accurate books, meeting filing deadlines, and communicating clearly with clients and internal managers. The work is structured, deadline-driven, and rewarding for professionals who take pride in accuracy and financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts for assigned client businesses in TallyPrime or Tally ERP 9
• Record daily accounting entries including sales, purchase, receipts, payments, journal vouchers, and contra entries
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and debtor ledgers on a monthly basis
• Prepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-2B reconciliation
• Process monthly payroll calculations and generate payslips for client employee rosters
• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets for client review
• Assist clients in preparing documentation for TDS deduction, filing, and form issuance
• Flag discrepancies, irregularities, or missing documentation to the account manager promptly
• Maintain organized digital records of all client accounting documents in the designated cloud repository

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent accounting qualification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating Tally ERP 9 or TallyPrime in a live accounting environment
• Solid understanding of GST regulations, TDS provisions, and basic Indian accounting standards
• Familiarity with MS Excel for reconciliation, MIS preparation, and data validation tasks
• High numerical accuracy and a disciplined approach to deadline management
• Good written communication skills in English and Hindi for client correspondence
• Ability to handle confidential financial data with integrity and professionalism
• Reliable computer with a stable internet connection and a quiet home work environment

• Monthly salary of INR 15,000 – 25,000 based on experience, client portfolio size, and GST filing responsibilities
