Securities Operations Analyst – Prime Brokerage (Fresher)

About This Role

Wells Fargo Securities India is hiring fresher Securities Operations Analysts for its Prime Brokerage and Capital Markets Operations team. You will support Wells Fargo's Prime Services and equity capital markets operations — managing securities financing, margin operations, and trade settlement for Wells Fargo's institutional hedge fund and asset manager clients in the US market.

Key Responsibilities

• Process prime brokerage operations: securities lending, stock borrow/loan agreements, and repo/reverse repo transactions
• Calculate and monitor margin requirements for hedge fund clients: Reg T margin, portfolio margin, and FINRA margin rules
• Reconcile prime brokerage positions between Wells Fargo's internal systems, DTC (Depository Trust Company), and client custodians
• Process equity capital markets settlement: IPO share allocation, lock-up expiry, and secondary offering settlement
• Handle short-sell operations: short locate approvals, FTD (failure to deliver) monitoring, and Reg SHO compliance
• Prepare daily prime brokerage P&L and position reports for Wells Fargo's institutional clients

Requirements & Skills

• B.Com (Finance/Accounting) or BBA from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
• Understanding of US equity markets, securities lending, and prime brokerage concepts
• Excel proficiency for securities data processing
• High attention to detail for financial settlement and margin operations
• NISM certifications or basic US FINRA knowledge is advantageous
