Financial Analyst – Equities & Credit Research (Fresher)

About This Role

Moody's India is hiring fresher Financial Analysts for its Research & Analytics division. Moody's is one of the world's three major credit rating agencies and also runs Moody's Analytics — a leading risk and financial data platform. India-based analysts produce financial research, equity data models, and credit analytics for Moody's clients globally: banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and corporations using Moody's CreditView and orbis platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for global listed and private companies: P&L, balance sheet, and credit ratio normalisation
• Produce equity screening analytics using Moody's CreditView and Bureau van Dijk orbis databases
• Analyse credit risk metrics for corporate and financial institution issuers: probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and expected loss
• Write sector research reports and market commentary for Moody's Analytics institutional clients
• Build quantitative credit risk models using Python and R for Moody's Analytics financial risk platform
• Support Moody's ESG research team with environmental data analysis for corporate ESG scoring

Requirements & Skills

• MBA (Finance) or B.Tech/M.Sc (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics) from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
• Strong financial analysis skills and quantitative aptitude
• Python and Excel proficiency for financial modelling and data analytics
• Understanding of credit markets, bond ratings, and corporate finance
• CFA or FRM Level I cleared is a strong advantage
