Equity Markets Analyst – Data & Analytics (Fresher)

About This Role

LSEG India (London Stock Exchange Group, owner of Refinitiv/Reuters) is hiring fresher Equity Markets Analysts. LSEG operates the London Stock Exchange, FTSE Russell indices, and the Refinitiv Eikon/Workspace financial data terminal. India-based analysts maintain equity securities data, build FTSE indices, and produce market analytics that are consumed by global financial markets participants managing $16 trillion+ in FTSE-indexed assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and validate equity securities reference data in LSEG's Refinitiv Workspace platform: pricing, corporate actions, and dividends
• Support FTSE Russell index construction and maintenance: constituent selection, free float determination, and rebalancing calculations
• Build and validate company financial data: income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for Refinitiv's fundamental database
• Analyse equity market microstructure data: tick data quality, trade reporting accuracy, and market surveillance metrics
• Produce FTSE index and market analytics reports for institutional clients
• Support client data queries related to Refinitiv Workspace, DataStream, and Elektron data services

Requirements & Skills

• B.Com/MBA (Finance) or B.Tech/M.Sc (Mathematics, Statistics) from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
• Understanding of equity markets, corporate actions, and financial statement analysis
• Excel and SQL proficiency; Python skills are a strong plus
• Familiarity with Refinitiv Eikon or Bloomberg Terminal is advantageous
• CFA Level I pursuit is encouraged
