Equity Research Analyst – Market Intelligence (Fresher)

About This Role

S&P Global India is hiring fresher Equity Research Analysts for its Market Intelligence division. S&P Global Market Intelligence (Capital IQ) is the world's most widely used financial data and analytics platform. India-based analysts build equity research content, financial data models, and analytical reports for S&P Global's platform — used by 200,000+ financial professionals globally at asset managers, investment banks, and corporations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce equity research summaries, earnings model updates, and sector snapshots for S&P Global's Capital IQ platform
• Build and standardise financial models for global listed companies: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow normalisation
• Write company profiles, industry analysis, and competitive landscape reports consumed via S&P's Capital IQ Pro platform
• Compute and validate financial ratios, valuation multiples (P/E, EV/EBITDA, P/B), and return metrics (ROE, ROCE, ROIC)
• Analyse M&A transactions: deal rationale, acquisition multiples, synergy estimates, and EPS impact
• Conduct credit and equity screening using S&P Global's proprietary analytical frameworks

Requirements & Skills

• MBA (Finance) or B.Com/BBA/B.Sc (Economics) with strong financial analysis skills (2025/2026 batch)
• Strong financial modelling and accounting knowledge
• Good written English for research content writing
• Excel proficiency; S&P Capital IQ or Bloomberg experience is advantageous
• CFA Level I cleared is a strong advantage
