About This Role

Jefferies India is hiring fresher Equity Research Associates for its India Research team. Jefferies is a leading US investment bank and equity broker that has rapidly grown its India franchise. Jefferies India Research covers 100+ Indian companies and is gaining strong institutional investor recognition. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-growth equity research franchise with significant responsibility from Day 1.

Key Responsibilities

Build comprehensive financial models for Indian listed companies assigned to your sector coverage area
Write earnings preview and results review notes, initiation of coverage reports, and thematic research pieces
Conduct company management meetings, investor conferences, and channel checks to gather primary research insights
Produce India equity strategy publications: Nifty earnings forecasts, sector weighting recommendations, and macro-driven stock picks
Support Jefferies' US and European equity sales teams with India stock ideas and investment themes
Monitor stock-specific catalysts: order wins, regulatory approvals, management changes, and M&A events

Requirements & Skills

MBA (Finance) or CFA Level I from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
Strong financial modelling skills and equity valuation expertise
Good written English for research report writing and management communication
Genuine passion for Indian equity markets and sector tracking
Prior internship in equity research or stock broking is a strong advantage
