About This Role
Citigroup India is hiring fresher Equities Trading Support Analysts for its Markets & Securities Services division. You will support Citi's global equities franchise — managing order flow, monitoring algorithmic executions, and providing trade analytics for Citi's institutional brokerage clients. Citi is one of the world's largest equity brokers, executing millions of equity trades daily for hedge funds, mutual funds, and sovereign wealth funds globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor intraday equity order flow on NSE, BSE, and global exchanges using Citi's internal OMS and algorithmic trading platforms
- Provide real-time execution support for Citi's institutional clients: VWAP, TWAP, and implementation shortfall algo monitoring
- Analyse post-trade execution quality: transaction cost analysis (TCA), slippage measurement, and market impact assessment
- Support equity sales desk with pre-trade analytics: liquidity analysis, trade size recommendations, and market impact estimates
- Investigate execution issues, order breaks, and system alerts; coordinate resolution with technology and compliance teams
- Prepare daily execution quality reports and client-specific TCA packs for institutional brokerage clients
Requirements & Skills
- MBA (Finance) or B.Tech/B.Sc (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) with strong markets interest (2025/2026 batch)
- Strong quantitative skills: statistics, probability, and data analysis
- Python or SQL skills for trade data analysis and report automation
- Understanding of equity market microstructure: order types, exchange matching engines, and settlement mechanics
- NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives) or NCFM certification is advantageous
