About This Role

Goldman Sachs India is hiring fresher Equity Sales & Trading Analysts for its Securities Division. You will support Goldman's global equities franchise — executing client orders in Indian and global equity markets, analysing market microstructure, and providing institutional clients with trade ideas and execution analytics. Goldman's Securities division processes billions of dollars in daily equity transactions for the world's largest hedge funds, pension funds, and asset managers.

Key Responsibilities

Execute equity trades for Goldman's institutional clients across NSE, BSE, and global exchanges using Goldman's proprietary trading systems
Monitor equity market microstructure: order book depth, bid-ask spreads, block trade liquidity, and VWAP/TWAP execution quality
Analyse daily equity market data — price movements, volumes, open interest, and FII/DII activity — and prepare morning market commentary
Support equity sales team in preparing trade ideas, stock pitch materials, and sector-specific investment recommendations
Coordinate with Goldman's research team on earnings-driven trading opportunities and corporate events (QIP, block deals, IPOs)
Reconcile daily trade positions, compute P&L attribution, and prepare trade blotter reports for risk management

Requirements & Skills

MBA (Finance) from a premier institute or B.Tech/B.Sc with exceptional capital markets aptitude (2025/2026 batch)
Deep passion for equity markets, stock picking, and financial markets analysis
Strong quantitative skills; Bloomberg Terminal and Excel proficiency preferred
Understanding of equity valuation, technical analysis, and market microstructure
NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives) or Series VII (Securities Operations) certification is advantageous
Ability to perform under pressure in a live trading environment with real-time market risks
