Treasury & Compliance Analyst (Management Trainee)

About This Role

Citi India is hiring Treasury & Compliance Management Trainees for its Indian consumer and institutional banking operations. You will work in Citi India's Treasury and Risk Management teams — managing the bank's balance sheet, liquidity, capital, and regulatory compliance under RBI's master directions. This is a high-visibility role spanning asset-liability management, regulatory capital, and RBI statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily CRR (Cash Reserve Ratio) and SLR (Statutory Liquidity Ratio) compliance and reporting to RBI
• Prepare Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) calculations per RBI Basel III guidelines
• Monitor interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB): repricing gaps, duration analysis, and NII sensitivity
• Conduct Asset Liability Management (ALM): maturity bucket analysis, liquidity stress testing, and contingency funding plan
• Prepare capital adequacy (CRAR) reports under Basel III and RBI's Pillar 2 Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
• Analyse forex position and hedge Citi India's foreign currency exposure within RBI's open position limits

Requirements & Skills

• MBA (Finance) or CA with strong treasury/banking interest, or B.Tech with outstanding academic record (2025/2026 batch)
• Understanding of RBI regulations: Basel III, LCR, NSFR, IRRBB, and ALM guidelines
• Financial modelling skills; Python or SQL for treasury analytics
• CFA or FRM Level I cleared is strongly preferred
• Strong analytical rigour and ability to communicate regulatory analysis to senior leadership
