About This Role

Scotiabank India (The Bank of Nova Scotia) is hiring fresher Banking Operations Analysts for its Global Business & Operations Centre in Hyderabad. Scotiabank is Canada's most international bank. India-based analysts support Scotiabank's Global Banking & Markets (GBM) operations — processing capital markets transactions, corporate banking operations, and wealth management servicing for Canadian and Latin American markets.

Key Responsibilities

Process capital markets transactions: equity, fixed income, FX, and derivatives trade confirmation and settlement
Perform reconciliation of trade positions between Scotiabank's trading systems and custodian records
Support corporate banking operations: loan processing, documentation review, and covenant monitoring
Handle wire transfers, international payments, and foreign exchange settlements
Conduct AML and sanctions screening for new client onboarding and high-risk transaction review
Prepare risk and regulatory reports for OSFI (Canada's banking regulator) and other relevant regulators

Requirements & Skills

B.Com (Finance/Accounting) or BBA from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
Basic understanding of capital markets, corporate banking, and trade finance
Good analytical skills and high attention to detail for financial processing
Excel proficiency; SQL knowledge is a plus
Good English communication skills for coordination with Canadian and Latin American teams
