Banking Operations Analyst (Entry Level)

About This Role

Northern Trust India is hiring entry-level Banking Operations Analysts for its Wealth Management and Asset Servicing operations centre. Northern Trust is a 135-year-old wealth management and custody bank serving ultra-high-net-worth clients and institutional investors. India-based analysts support trade settlement, trust accounting, and client reporting for Northern Trust's US, European, and APAC wealth management clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Process trade settlements for equity, fixed income, and alternative investment portfolios
• Perform trust accounting: income distribution calculations, capital gain/loss tracking, and tax lot accounting
• Reconcile client investment accounts with custodian records and prime broker statements
• Process corporate actions: cash dividends, stock dividends, tender offers, and mergers for client portfolios
• Generate client portfolio statements, performance reports, and tax reporting packages
• Handle client service requests, account maintenance, and wire transfer processing

Requirements & Skills

• B.Com (Accounting), BBA (Finance), or MBA (Finance) from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
• Good accounting fundamentals and understanding of financial instruments
• Excel proficiency for financial data processing and reconciliation
• High accuracy and attention to detail for banking operations work
• Good communication skills for cross-team and global client service coordination
