Fund Accounting Analyst – Banking & Custody (Graduate)

About This Role

State Street India is hiring Graduate Fund Accounting Analysts for its Global Services (custody, fund admin, and transfer agency) operations. State Street is the world's second-largest custodian bank, with $44 trillion in assets under custody. You will compute NAV (Net Asset Value), perform fund accounting for mutual funds and hedge funds, and ensure accurate financial reporting for institutional asset managers globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate daily Net Asset Value (NAV) for mutual funds, ETFs, and hedge funds per GAAP/IFRS accounting standards
• Reconcile fund investment positions, cash balances, and income accruals with prime brokers and sub-custodians
• Process corporate actions (dividends, rights issues, stock splits) for equity and fixed income holdings
• Prepare financial statements, performance reports, and regulatory filings (SEBI, SEC, CSSF) for fund clients
• Calculate management fee accruals, TER (Total Expense Ratio), and performance fee watermark calculations
• Investigate and resolve NAV exceptions, trade breaks, and pricing discrepancies within SLA timelines

Requirements & Skills

• B.Com (Accounting/Finance), BBA, or MBA (Finance) from a recognised institution (2025/2026 batch)
• Strong accounting knowledge: journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation
• Excel proficiency; SQL knowledge is advantageous
• Understanding of financial instruments: equities, bonds, derivatives, and mutual funds
• High attention to detail and accuracy for fund accounting and NAV calculation work
