About This Role
American Express India is hiring fresher Credit & Risk Analysts for its Global Credit & Fraud Risk Management team in Gurugram. You will analyse American Express cardmember spending behaviour, credit risk, and fraud patterns — building analytical models that protect AmEx from credit losses while delivering seamless experiences for 140 million cardmembers globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Build credit risk scorecards and predictive models for AmEx card credit limit management and authorisation decisions
- Analyse cardmember delinquency trends, charge-off rates, and credit bureau data using SAS, Python, and SQL
- Develop credit policy testing frameworks: champion-challenger experiments for credit limit and delinquency management
- Conduct portfolio stress testing and scenario analysis for AmEx's consumer and SME card portfolios
- Prepare monthly credit risk dashboards and management commentary for the Chief Credit Officer
- Monitor macroeconomic leading indicators (unemployment, CPI, consumer confidence) and their impact on credit performance
Requirements & Skills
- MBA (Finance/Statistics) or B.Tech/M.Sc (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) from a reputed institution (2025/2026 batch)
- Strong quantitative and statistical skills: regression, logistic models, decision trees
- SQL and Python proficiency for credit data analysis; SAS experience is a plus
- Understanding of consumer credit, credit bureaus (CIBIL, Experian), and card products
- Analytical curiosity and passion for data-driven risk management
