About This Role
Nomura India is hiring fresher Investment Banking Analysts for its Mumbai Global Markets Intelligence Centre. Nomura is Asia's largest investment bank. India-based IBD analysts support Nomura's Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, and New York investment banking teams — performing financial modelling, pitch book preparation, and deal analytics for M&A and capital market transactions across Asia-Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
- Build financial models for M&A transactions: DCF, LBO, football field analyses, and synergy models in Excel
- Prepare equity research model updates, earnings estimates, and sector reports for Nomura's research teams
- Create pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations for IBD client coverage
- Perform comparable company analysis (trading comps) and precedent transaction analysis for deal valuation
- Conduct industry research on Japan, China, and Southeast Asian companies for APAC coverage sectors
- Support ECM and DCM transactions: IPO prospectus analysis, bond pricing models, and roadshow materials
Requirements & Skills
- MBA (Finance) from a premier institute or B.Tech (IIT/NIT top ranker) with exceptional finance skills (2025/2026 batch)
- Outstanding financial modelling skills: DCF, LBO, merger model, and accretion/dilution analysis
- Deep understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and M&A deal structures
- Knowledge of Japanese or Asian capital markets is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to handle high-intensity analytical work across different global time zones
