Relationship Manager Trainee – Corporate Banking

About This Role

Standard Chartered India is hiring Relationship Manager Trainees for its Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) business. You will join SC's International Graduate Programme and rotate across corporate banking, transaction banking, and financial markets teams — developing into a fully-fledged corporate banker serving India's top companies and MNCs within 2–3 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior Relationship Managers in managing a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients
• Prepare account plans, wallet assessments, and client profitability analysis for the corporate portfolio
• Assist in structuring corporate lending facilities: working capital, term loans, ECB, and syndicated loans
• Coordinate transaction banking solutions: cash management, trade finance, and supply chain finance for clients
• Conduct financial statement analysis and credit assessments for existing and prospective corporate clients
• Prepare client presentations, product proposals, and deal term sheets for senior approval

Requirements & Skills

• MBA (Finance/Marketing) from a recognised business school or top graduate with strong academic credentials (2025/2026 batch)
• Good understanding of corporate banking products: loans, trade finance, cash management, and FX
• Financial analysis skills: credit assessment, ratio analysis, and cash flow modelling
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and coverage responsibilities
