About This Role
Deutsche Bank India is hiring Graduate Programme Associates specialising in Market Risk and Credit Risk. Deutsche Bank's risk management division in India monitors trading book risk, counterparty credit risk, and regulatory capital for the bank's global trading operations. You will compute risk metrics, build risk models, and ensure Deutsche Bank's compliance with Basel III/IV capital frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate daily market risk metrics: VaR (Value at Risk), Expected Shortfall (ES), and Stressed VaR for trading portfolios
- Perform sensitivity analysis (Greeks: delta, gamma, vega, DV01) for equity, FX, rates, and credit derivative portfolios
- Conduct backtesting and P&L attribution to validate VaR model accuracy and identify model deficiencies
- Support Basel III/IV regulatory capital calculations: FRTB SA, FRTB IMA, and SA-CCR for counterparty risk
- Prepare daily risk reports for the CRO office, trading desks, and senior management risk committees
- Develop Python and SQL scripts for risk data extraction, automation of risk calculations, and reconciliation
Requirements & Skills
- MBA (Finance) / M.Sc (Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics) or B.Tech (strong quant background) (2025/2026 batch)
- Strong quantitative skills: statistics, probability, linear algebra, and stochastic calculus basics
- Python programming skills for financial data analysis and risk calculation
- Understanding of financial derivatives, options pricing (Black-Scholes), and interest rate products
- FRM (GARP) Level I cleared or CFA Level I cleared is a strong advantage
