About This Role
Citibank India is hiring fresher Credit Analysts for its Institutional Clients Group (ICG) Corporate Banking division. You will evaluate creditworthiness of Indian and multinational corporate clients — analysing financial statements, assessing industry risk, and preparing credit approval memoranda that determine lending decisions for India's largest corporations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse corporate financial statements (annual reports, MIS, projections) to assess credit risk and repayment capacity
- Build financial spreading models and credit risk rating models using Citi's proprietary risk assessment framework
- Prepare detailed credit approval memoranda (CAM) for corporate term loans, working capital, and trade finance facilities
- Monitor existing loan portfolios: covenant compliance tracking, early warning signal (EWS) analysis, and annual reviews
- Conduct industry research and sectoral analysis for Citi's corporate banking coverage sectors
- Assist Relationship Managers in client pitches, loan structuring, and cross-sell of treasury and trade products
Requirements & Skills
- MBA (Finance) from a recognised business school or CA/CFA finalist (2025/2026 batch)
- Strong financial statement analysis skills: ratio analysis, cash flow modelling, and credit structuring
- Understanding of corporate lending products: term loans, working capital, ECB, and trade finance
- Good knowledge of RBI credit regulations, banking prudential norms, and SEBI disclosure requirements
- Excellent analytical writing skills for credit memoranda and approval documents
