About This Role
JPMorgan Chase India is hiring Investment Banking Analysts (Freshers) for its Corporate & Investment Banking division. You will work on live M&A deals, capital market transactions, and financial advisory mandates for JPMorgan's global clients. India-based IB analysts work on cross-border deals across Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and the Americas, performing the same analytical work as JPMorgan's New York and London teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build detailed financial models including DCF, LBO, trading comparables, and transaction precedent analyses in Excel
- Prepare pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations for M&A and capital market transactions
- Conduct industry research, competitive benchmarking, and macroeconomic analysis for client coverage sectors
- Support live deal execution: coordinating due diligence, managing data rooms, and liaising with legal and compliance teams
- Analyse company financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and build earnings models and scenario analyses
- Assist in preparation of credit papers, fairness opinions, and regulatory filings for transactions
Requirements & Skills
- MBA (Finance) from a premier institution (IIM, ISB, XLRI) or B.Tech from IIT/NIT with strong finance interest (2025/2026 batch)
- Strong financial modelling skills: Excel, DCF, LBO, comparable analysis
- Good understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and M&A concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication for client-facing presentations
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to handle pressure in deal environments
