ESG Data Analyst – LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)

We are hiring ESG Data Analysts in New York to grow and maintain LSEG's industry-leading ESG data platform.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and validate ESG data from corporate sustainability reports, regulatory filings, and third-party sources for LSEG's Refinitiv ESG dataset
- Map corporate ESG disclosures to LSEG's ESG data taxonomy covering environmental, social, and governance pillars
- Apply data quality controls and anomaly detection processes ensuring the accuracy and completeness of LSEG's ESG data
- Develop Python automation scripts for ESG data extraction from structured and unstructured corporate documents
- Research new ESG disclosure standards (ISSB, EU CSRD, SEC climate rules) and update LSEG's data collection methodology
- Respond to institutional client data quality inquiries from LSEG Workspace and Refinitiv terminal users
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Finance, Data Science, or Business
- Python proficiency for data extraction, cleaning, and automation (pandas, BeautifulSoup)
- Understanding of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB)
- Strong attention to data quality, accuracy, and source verification
- Familiarity with financial data platforms (Refinitiv, Bloomberg, FactSet) is a plus
