ESG Investment Analyst – Nuveen (TIAA)

We are hiring ESG Investment Analysts in Chicago to advance Nuveen's ESG integration and impact investing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Integrate ESG factors into Nuveen's equity and fixed income investment analysis — assessing material ESG risks and opportunities across portfolio holdings
- Conduct ESG research on corporate issuers in assigned sectors, evaluating sustainability practices, governance quality, and social impact
- Support Nuveen's impact investing platform — analyzing impact metrics and additionality claims of green bonds, social bonds, and sustainability-linked bonds
- Perform ESG data analysis using Bloomberg, MSCI, and proprietary Nuveen ESG research frameworks
- Support Nuveen's proxy voting and corporate engagement activities across equity portfolios
- Prepare ESG research reports and impact measurement documentation for institutional client reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or Business
- Strong interest in responsible investing, ESG integration, and impact measurement
- Excel and data analysis proficiency; Python or R is a plus
- Familiarity with ESG data providers (MSCI, Sustainalytics, Bloomberg ESG) is valued
- CFA candidate preferred; CFA ESG Certificate is a strong differentiator
