ESG Analyst – Corporate Sustainability Assessment – S&P Global

We are hiring ESG Analysts in New York to conduct Corporate Sustainability Assessments (CSA) — the annual survey that powers the DJSI.
Responsibilities
- Conduct S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) — reviewing and scoring 10,000+ companies on 100+ ESG criteria annually
- Evaluate corporate sustainability reports, ESG questionnaire responses, and public documents to verify and score ESG data accuracy
- Engage with corporate sustainability teams at assessed companies to clarify data submissions and verify supporting evidence
- Update S&P Global's ESG database with assessed scores and maintain quality control on data integrity
- Contribute to methodology development for the Corporate Sustainability Assessment framework
- Support S&P Sustainable1's client engagement with institutional investor clients accessing CSA and DJSI data
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Environmental Science, or Sustainability
- Strong attention to detail and data quality orientation for ESG assessment work
- Understanding of corporate sustainability frameworks: GRI, SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs
- Proficiency in Excel and database management tools
- Professional communication skills for corporate engagement with sustainability teams at major companies
