About This Role

TypeDesk Services India is hiring Online Typists for its remote team. This is a full-time, work-from-home role open to freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of experience. As an online typist, you will transcribe handwritten notes, audio recordings, or scanned documents into clean typed documents using MS Word or Google Docs. This role is fully remote, requires no customer interaction, and suits anyone who prefers focused independent work over a high-pressure environment.

Role Context

TypeDesk handles transcription and typing projects for law firms, medical practices, academic institutions, and corporate clients. You will be assigned to one project team where work arrives daily in batches. Audio transcription projects require you to listen to recordings (English) and type what is spoken verbatim. Document typing projects require typing from handwritten or printed source material. Senior typists review random samples for accuracy every day and provide feedback. All work is submitted through the TypeDesk portal.

Key Responsibilities

Type from assigned source material — handwritten notes, scanned documents, or audio recordings
Maintain consistent formatting as per project style guide (MS Word or Google Docs)
Meet daily word count targets: 8,000 – 12,000 words per 8-hour shift depending on project type
Proofread typed content before submission — no spell-check substitution for careful reading
Submit completed work before the daily 6 PM deadline
Attend the weekly 30-minute virtual team check-in

Requirements

12th pass or any graduation — freshers welcome
Typing speed: 40 WPM minimum in English with 95%+ accuracy
Good command of written English — grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Laptop or desktop with MS Office 2019 or above, or Google Workspace access
Headphones for audio transcription projects (basic earphones are fine)
Broadband: 15 Mbps minimum

What TypeDesk Offers

CTC: ₹10,000 – ₹16,000 per month (varies by project type and speed band)
