Business Data Analyst – Bank of America
Bank of America serves approximately 69 million consumer and small business clients and is a global leader in wealth management, corporate banking, and trading. We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our Global Technology & Operations team in Charlotte, NC — supporting analytics across consumer banking, wealth management, and markets divisions.
Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and analyze large financial datasets from enterprise data warehouses using SQL and Teradata
- Build interactive Power BI and Tableau dashboards for business line performance monitoring
- Support regulatory reporting processes by analyzing data quality, completeness, and accuracy
- Conduct root-cause analysis on business process anomalies and recommend corrective actions
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data engineering teams
- Prepare written analytical reports and executive-ready presentations for senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline
- Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases; Teradata or Oracle experience a plus
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau for dashboard development
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate analytical results to non-technical stakeholders
