Staff Accountant – Plante Moran

Responsibilities
- Perform audit and assurance engagements for Plante Moran's manufacturing, automotive, government, and real estate clients
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for corporate, partnership, and individual clients
- Conduct SOC 1 and SOC 2 examination procedures for technology and financial services companies
- Prepare clear, well-organized working papers and document audit procedures and tax positions
- Develop lasting client relationships based on Plante Moran's "relatively jerk-free" workplace principles
- Participate in new staff orientation and Plante Moran's nationally recognized professional development programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (150 credit hours for MI CPA preferred)
- CPA exam eligibility; Plante Moran covers all exam costs and provides Becker prep
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written communication
- Genuine interest in building long-term client and colleague relationships
