Financial Accountant – 3M
3M is a global innovation company with 60,000+ products used in homes, hospitals, offices, and factories in 200 countries. 3M's Corporate Accounting team in Saint Paul, MN supports $32B in global revenues across Safety & Industrial, Transportation & Electronics, and Healthcare business segments. We are hiring entry-level Financial Accountants to support global consolidation, segment reporting, and internal controls compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of 3M's consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under US GAAP
- Process consolidating journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation adjustments for 3M's global subsidiaries
- Perform account reconciliations for corporate general ledger accounts and investigate unreconciled items
- Support quarterly SEC reporting (10-Q, 10-K) and coordinate with investor relations on earnings release preparation
- Assist with internal controls testing and SOX 404 compliance documentation for corporate accounting processes
- Participate in system implementations and process improvement projects supporting Oracle ERP upgrades
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (150 credit hours preferred)
- CPA candidate; exam support provided
- Knowledge of US GAAP; experience with multinational consolidation or foreign currency a plus
- Oracle Financials or HFM/OneStream experience preferred
- Curiosity and adaptability to work across 3M's diverse business portfolio
