Cost Accountant – RTX (Raytheon Technologies)
RTX (formerly Raytheon Technologies) is the world's largest aerospace and defense company, with $67B in annual revenues across Pratt & Whitney jet engines, Collins Aerospace systems, and Raytheon missiles and defense electronics. We are hiring Cost Accountants at our Waltham, MA headquarters to support cost management and program financial reporting for some of the most critical defense and aerospace programs in the world.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain standard cost structures for manufactured defense components and systems
- Perform manufacturing variance analysis (purchase price, labor efficiency, overhead absorption) and explain drivers
- Support government contract cost accounting compliance under FAR and CAS requirements
- Prepare monthly program financial status reports and forecasts for program management review
- Assist with annual standard cost roll and inventory valuation at fiscal year-end
- Support DCAA floor checks and audit requests related to direct labor and overhead cost allocation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Industrial Engineering
- US citizenship required
- Knowledge of cost accounting concepts (standard costing, variance analysis, overhead absorption)
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or Costpoint) is a significant plus
- CPA or CMA certification pursuit encouraged
