Assurance Associate – Ernst & Young (EY)

Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing financial statement audits for public and private clients under PCAOB and GAAS standards
- Conduct substantive testing of key financial statement areas including revenue, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets
- Evaluate client internal controls and document findings in EY's audit management system
- Prepare clear, well-organized audit working papers with sufficient evidence and appropriate conclusions
- Identify control deficiencies and potential misstatements; discuss with engagement senior and manager
- Support year-end audit procedures including financial statement tie-outs and disclosure checklists
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with strong academic performance
- CPA exam eligibility (150 credit hours) — CPA must be completed within 2 years of hire at EY
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple client deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for audit data analysis)
