Audit & Assurance Associate – Deloitte

Responsibilities
- Perform external audit fieldwork for public and private company clients across industries including financial services, technology, and consumer products
- Execute risk-based audit procedures to assess financial statement accuracy and internal control effectiveness
- Prepare and review working papers documenting audit evidence per PCAOB and GAAS standards
- Test account balances, journal entries, and transactions for completeness, accuracy, and cutoff
- Communicate audit findings to senior associates and managers; interact directly with client finance teams
- Participate in Deloitte's structured Associate training curriculum (technical accounting, PCAOB standards, and Deloitte methodology)
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (150 credit hours preferred for CPA eligibility)
- GPA of 3.2 or above preferred; strong academic record in accounting and finance coursework
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the state of employment
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel 20–30% for client site engagements
