About This Role

Amazon is hiring Work From Home Chat Representatives for its India customer service team. This is a fully remote role where you handle customer queries over live chat and email — no voice calls. Amazon provides structured paid training and ships all required equipment to your home. If you have a laptop, a stable broadband connection, and can type at 35+ WPM, you are eligible to apply whether you are a fresher or have prior experience.

Role Context

You will join Amazon's Virtual Customer Service (VCS) team in India, assisting customers with order issues, payment queries, return requests, and delivery concerns. You manage 2–3 chat conversations simultaneously using Amazon's internal tools. Shifts are available in morning, afternoon, and evening slots. Your team leader is available online throughout your shift for real-time support. All assessments and onboarding are done virtually.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle simultaneous live chat conversations and resolve queries within the first interaction where possible
• Process order cancellations, returns, refunds, and replacements as per Amazon policy
• Identify and escalate cases that require specialist or senior review
• Update case records in Amazon's internal CRM after every interaction
• Meet daily quality scores and customer satisfaction targets
• Participate in weekly virtual team meetings and coaching sessions

Requirements

• 12th pass or any graduation (stream not restricted)
• Typing speed: 35 WPM minimum with 90%+ accuracy
• Personal laptop or desktop — Windows 10 or above, or Mac OS Monterey or above
• Wired broadband: minimum 20 Mbps dedicated connection
• Smartphone for two-factor authentication
• Dedicated quiet workspace with no background noise
