About This Role
HealthAxis India is offering Remote Medical Coding positions for Delhi-based certified coders who want to work from home while supporting US and Indian healthcare clients. As a remote medical coder, you will complete your full daily coding workload from your home office, participating in virtual team meetings and quality reviews through our secure work-from-home infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Access and code patient medical records assigned daily through the secure remote coding platform
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to inpatient, outpatient, and physician documentation as per specialty guidelines
- Meet daily productivity benchmarks (records per day) and maintain coding accuracy above the departmental quality threshold
- Participate in weekly virtual team meetings, quality calibration sessions, and coding guideline update briefings
- Submit coding queries and documentation clarification requests through the established clinical query workflow
- Complete all assigned work before the daily cutoff time and report productivity figures to the remote team supervisor
- Maintain strict patient data confidentiality and adhere to the company's remote work security policy at all times
Required Skills and Qualifications
- CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC certification from AAPC or AHIMA is mandatory
- Minimum 1–2 years of post-certification medical coding experience in any specialty
- Reliable high-speed broadband internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home workspace
- Strong coding accuracy, self-discipline, and ability to meet productivity targets independently
- Experience with remote coding platforms, EMR systems, or coding software used in US healthcare
- Good communication skills for virtual team coordination and query management
