About This Role
DevWave India is hiring talented Remote Software Developers to join our distributed engineering team. You will build and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services for Indian and international product clients, working entirely from your home or preferred workspace. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using modern technology stacks
- Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following team coding standards and version control practices
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in an agile team environment
- Collaborate asynchronously with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver features on schedule
- Review pull requests from peers, providing constructive and timely technical feedback
- Debug production issues, investigate root causes, and implement fixes with appropriate test coverage
- Contribute to technical documentation, API specs, and internal engineering wikis
- Engage in continuous learning, keeping your skills current with evolving frameworks and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of professional software development experience in any major stack (Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and cloud infrastructure basics
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development practices
- Self-disciplined, proactive communicator comfortable working in a fully remote team
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace
