Sales Executive – Industrial Products | Kanpur | B2B Field Sales

About This Role

Metro Industrial Distributors is looking for a Sales Executive to handle B2B field sales of industrial consumables and safety equipment across Kanpur's manufacturing belt. You will visit factories, engineering workshops, and construction sites to generate orders and maintain client relationships. Kanpur has one of the largest concentrations of small and medium industries in North India — this role gives you access to a large, active customer base.

Role Context

You will manage a portfolio of 60–80 existing industrial clients and actively develop new accounts. Products include cutting tools, abrasives, safety gear, and industrial lubricants. Sales cycles are short — most orders are repeat purchases — so the role is more about relationship management and coverage than complex selling. An area manager supports you with pricing decisions and client escalations.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit industrial clients in Kanpur and nearby areas daily as per beat plan
• Take purchase orders and coordinate with the warehouse for timely dispatch
• Introduce new product lines to existing clients and generate upsell orders
• Identify and onboard new industrial accounts in the assigned territory
• Collect outstanding payments within agreed credit terms
• Submit daily call reports and monthly territory review to the area manager

Requirements & Skills

• 1–3 years of B2B or industrial sales experience preferred — freshers with technical background considered
• Own two-wheeler with valid licence — mandatory for field visits
• Good Hindi communication and basic English for written communication
• Knowledge of Kanpur's industrial areas — Panki, Dada Nagar, Jajmau preferred
• ITI / Diploma or any graduation
