About This Role

Klaviyo is hiring an Email and SMS Marketing Specialist to build and optimize lifecycle marketing programs for Klaviyo's own e-commerce and SaaS customer base. Role Context

Klaviyo's internal marketing team uses the platform to manage segmentation, automation, and SMS for a list of over 2 million subscribers. You will build and own key lifecycle flows — welcome series, trial activation, re-engagement, and upgrade — as well as promotional campaigns tied to product launches and seasonal moments. Your work directly showcases what Klaviyo customers can achieve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize email and SMS flows in Klaviyo for key customer lifecycle stages
  • Segment audiences using behavioral, firmographic, and purchase-history data
  • Write email and SMS copy that balances conversion goals with brand voice
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, preview text, CTAs, and send timing
  • Monitor deliverability metrics and maintain list hygiene practices
  • Report weekly on campaign performance and flow health to the lifecycle marketing lead

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, or Business
  • 1–2 years working with Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar email/SMS platforms
  • Strong understanding of list segmentation, suppression logic, and send frequency best practices
  • Excellent copywriting skills for short-form marketing channels
  • Familiarity with e-commerce data (purchase events, browse abandonment, cart abandonment)
  • Comfort with reporting in Google Sheets or Klaviyo's reporting suite
