Spotify is hiring a Social Media Analyst to measure and report on the performance of Spotify's brand, editorial, and artist social accounts across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, and YouTube. You will provide data-driven recommendations to the social content team and help shape Spotify's global social strategy.

Role Context

Spotify's social media team manages dozens of accounts across artist, genre, and brand channels globally. As an analyst, you sit at the intersection of the content team (who produce the posts) and the data team (who own the infrastructure). You translate platform analytics into actionable creative direction and help the team understand which content formats, posting cadences, and campaign moments drive the most meaningful engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull and analyze performance data from Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, and YouTube Studio
  • Build weekly social performance reports covering reach, engagement, follower growth, and saves
  • Benchmark Spotify's performance against competitor accounts using Sprinklr or Brandwatch
  • Identify top-performing content formats and present recommendations to the content team
  • Monitor trending audio, hashtags, and cultural moments relevant to Spotify's audience
  • Support campaign measurement for major moments (album drops, podcasts, Wrapped)

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, Data Science, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of experience analyzing social media performance professionally
  • Proficiency with native platform analytics and third-party tools (Sprinklr, Brandwatch, or Khoros)
  • Strong spreadsheet skills for data cleaning and pivot analysis
  • Genuine enthusiasm for music, podcasts, and social content trends
  • Ability to write clear, concise performance summaries for creative teams
