Role Context

Your emails reach millions of small business owners who rely on Mailchimp for their own customer communication. You will report to the Lifecycle Marketing Manager and work with data analysts to segment audiences, personalize messages, and test send cadence. Every campaign is a chance to demonstrate what best-in-class email marketing looks like.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and send promotional and lifecycle email campaigns using Mailchimp
  • Write subject lines, preview text, and email copy tailored to segmented audiences
  • Set up automated drip sequences for onboarding, re-engagement, and upsell flows
  • Run A/B tests on subject lines, send times, and content blocks
  • Monitor deliverability metrics (open rate, CTR, unsubscribes, bounce rate)
  • Maintain list health through regular suppression and re-engagement campaigns

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar ESP platforms
  • Strong copywriting skills — ability to write concise, action-oriented email content
  • Basic HTML/CSS for minor email template edits
  • Understanding of email deliverability best practices (SPF, DKIM, list hygiene)
  • Analytical approach to campaign performance review
