About This Role

TechNexus Solutions is hiring a Data Center Infrastructure Support Intern to work from our Bengaluru facility. This is a hands-on internship for engineering graduates or final-year students who want real exposure to data center operations, server hardware, and network infrastructure. You will work alongside senior engineers in a live production environment — not a classroom setting.

Role Context

You will be part of a 6-member operations team responsible for the day-to-day health of our co-location data center. The team runs in rotating shifts and you will be assigned to the general shift initially. Most of your work will involve monitoring systems, assisting with hardware installations, and logging incident tickets. This internship lasts 6 months with a possibility of a full-time offer based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor server racks and network equipment using our internal dashboard
• Assist senior engineers during hardware installation and replacement tasks
• Log and track infrastructure tickets in the helpdesk system
• Perform routine checks on power, cooling, and connectivity systems
• Maintain cable management and labelling standards in the server room
• Document observations and prepare daily shift handover notes

Requirements & Skills

• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics (final year or recent graduate)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts — IP, DNS, LAN/WAN
• Comfortable working in a controlled, air-conditioned server room environment
• Willingness to work in shifts including early morning or late evening slots
• Good observation skills and ability to follow safety protocols strictly
