About This Role

Fresher Hub is placing a Production Shift Supervisor with a Schedule M-compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Thane. The facility produces oral solid dosage forms — tablets and capsules — for domestic and export markets. The shift supervisor owns end-to-end production accountability for their assigned shift: batch execution, equipment readiness, GMP compliance, and yield reporting. This is a mid-level role suited to candidates with solid pharmaceutical manufacturing experience who are ready to own a shift independently.

Role Context

The production floor runs three 8-hour shifts. Each shift has a supervisor, 2 manufacturing technicians, and 6 to 8 operators. You will report to the Production Manager and coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for batch release approvals. The facility completed a WHO-GMP audit last year and maintains strict documentation standards. Batch Manufacturing Records are filled in parallel with production, and any deviation must be documented and reported before the batch can proceed to the next stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute production batches as per the approved Master Formula Record and batch instructions
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned, calibrated, and cleared before production begins each shift
• Fill Batch Manufacturing Records accurately in real time — no retrospective entries permitted
• Monitor in-process parameters at defined checkpoints and halt production on deviation
• Coordinate with QA for line clearance, in-process sampling, and batch disposition
• Lead the shift team — assign tasks, monitor attendance, and address productivity gaps
• Prepare shift handover notes with batch status, equipment issues, and pending actions

Requirements & Skills

• B.Pharm or M.Pharm; D.Pharm with extensive experience also considered
• 3 to 6 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing — OSD experience strongly preferred
• Thorough knowledge of Schedule M, GMP documentation, and deviation management
• Capable of managing a shift team of 8 to 10 people independently
• Familiar with granulation, compression, coating, and encapsulation processes
• Comfortable working rotating shifts including one night shift cycle per month
