About This Role
DeepTech Marine is hiring Commercial Divers for underwater inspection, construction, and salvage work on bridges, pipelines, offshore platforms, and dam structures across the United States. Commercial diving is one of the most unusual and highest-paying trade careers available without a college degree — experienced commercial divers with saturation diving or welding certifications regularly earn $80,000–$120,000 or more annually. If you are trained, certified, and not afraid of the deep, DeepTech Marine wants you on our dive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform underwater inspection, maintenance, repair, and construction work on bridges, piers, pipelines, offshore structures, and underwater utilities using surface-supplied diving equipment
- Execute underwater welding and cutting tasks (wet welding, habitat welding) to repair structural steel, pipeline joints, and offshore equipment
- Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections of submerged structures including visual, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle testing
- Operate underwater cameras, ROVs, and hand tools from depth while communicating clearly with the dive supervisor on the surface
- Follow the dive team's dive plan, decompression tables, and US Navy/ADCI decompression procedures rigorously
- Maintain all diving equipment, life support systems, and gas panels in dive-ready condition
- Complete surface support duties including tender responsibilities when not serving as the working diver on a given dive
Required Skills and Qualifications
- No college degree required — ADCI certification from an ACDE/IMCA-accredited commercial dive school is required
- Minimum 6 months of documented commercial dive hours post-graduation
- ADCI Tender/Diver, Diver, and/or Supervisor certification preferred
- Underwater welding (wet and/or dry hyperbaric) certification is a high-value skill
- OSHA 30 commercial diving, First Aid/CPR with O2 provider, and current ADCI medical required
- Willingness to travel, work offshore, and complete extended rotation assignments away from home

- Monthly earnings of $4,200–$8,400 with offshore rotation pay, saturation bonuses, and hazard pay significantly increasing top earnings
